ST. LOUIS COUNTY – The St. Louis County Board has approved of a production incentive program for TV and films, and application forms are now available online.

The county board says it will commit to investing $1 million in the program in 2021. With the program, productions can receive a rebate of up to 25% of all production spending for goods, services and wages within the county.

Through this incentive program, periphery businesses may also benefit, including hotels, restaurants, and hardware and supply stores.

“We’re trying something that’s unusual but it’s also the kind of way you make things happen and so the excitement about this we are jumping in with both feet to try and bring new industry to this area,” said Frank Jewell, the St. Louis County commissioner.
