Deer River Boys Basketball Tops Nashwauk-Keewatin For First Ever Section 7A Title

NASHWAUK, Minn. – The Deer River boys basketball team used a big second half to get the 60-42 win over Nashwauk-Keewatin on Friday night to claim their first ever section 7A title.

Ty Morrison led the way with 24 points while Mikhail Wakonabo chipped in with 21 points for the Warriors.

Deer River now prepares for their first state tournament appearance in program history.
