COVID-19 Vaccination Clinic to Open Next Week at Wessman Arena

Vaccination Site

SUPERIOR, Wis. – University of Wisconsin’s Wessman Arena will be the site of a new community-based COVID-19 vaccination clinic next week.

The university says the Douglas County Public Health clinic will open Tuesday, April 13 at 11:00 a.m. and will be run by AMI Expeditionary Healthcare who will be administering the Pfizer vaccine.

Clinic hours will be Tuesday through Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

“We are proud to have our campus serve as the site for these services as we continue to play a role in our community’s response to COVID-19,” said University of Wisconsin-Superior Chancellor Renée Wachter.

Anyone ages 16 and older can schedule an appointment using the Wisconsin COVID-19 Vaccine Registry.

After registering, eligible individuals will be notified of the opportunity to schedule their appointment when openings become available.
The Douglas clinic plans to administer at least 200 doses per day and has the ability to do up to 500 doses per day, dependent on vaccine supply.

For vaccine-related questions and appointment registration support, individuals can call toll-free at (844) 684-1064.
