Memorial Blood Centers is Holding Regular Mobile Blood Drives

SUPERIOR, Wis.-Memorial Blood Centers was holding a blood drive at Fairlawn Mansion in Superior today.

With a current shortage of all blood types across the country, especially type O blood, blood drives are happening virtually every day, including some weekends, to make it easier for everyone to donate blood that could save a life.

“The people [pictured] on our bus are local to the Northland. These are people that have received blood that are alive because of people that have donated blood in the area, and have received and are alive because of it. There is no substitute for human blood,” said Paul Charles who drives the Memorial Blood Centers’ bus.

Extensive covid protocols are in place to ensure a safe experience for those who donate including masks, cleaning, and social distancing.
