Coffee Break: Glensheen Introduces New Option for Morning Brew with a View

The New Coffee Bar & Popular Shark on the Lake Event Debut at Glensheen for the Summer Season

DULUTH, Minn. – Duluth Coffee Company, Johnson’s Bakery, and Glensheen are teaming up to host a brand new Coffee Bar on the grounds of the mansion.

The historic estate is now offering Duluth Coffee Company coffee and local family-owned bakery, Johnson’s Bakery, donuts for purchase with a soft launch of the new Coffee Bar located in the Carriage House’s historic Garage space.

The idea of a coffee bar at Glensheen comes from a Glensheen donor who was at Glensheen for a morning meeting, enjoying a cup of coffee on the shore of Lake Superior, and remarked something along the lines of “Wouldn’t this be cool for guests to experience too?”

Glensheen will offer Duluth Coffee Company’s Papua New Guinea, Waghi Valley which is a dark roast, and Costa Rica, Diego Abarca which is a light roast.

Classic glazed, chocolate and sugar donuts will be for sale for only $1.00 to top off the experience.

Also coming back to Glensheen is the popular offering of drinks and ice cream  service at Shark on the Lake.

This service also kicked off Monday, June 21 for the afternoons from 12:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. and until 7:00 p.m. on Saturdays.

Local Love Creamery ice cream will be available for purchase in the Garage and local drink service will be available for purchase on the shoreline by Clark, the wooden shark, provided by Catering by Bellisio’s.
