Eighth-Inning Comeback Pushes Duluth Huskies Past Minnesota Mud Puppies

The Huskies scored four runs in the bottom of the eighth inning and Jared Southard came up with the save in the ninth to keep Duluth on top of their division.

DULUTH, Minn. – The Duluth Huskies would erase a three-run deficit in the eighth inning to pick up the comeback win over the Minnesota Mud Puppies 5-4 Thursday night at Wade Stadium.

The Huskies scored four runs in the bottom of the eighth inning and Jared Southard came up with the save in the ninth to keep Duluth on top of their division. They look for the sweep over the Mud Puppies Friday night at Wade Stadium.
