CHUM Announces “Fresh Fridays” Food Boxes

DULUTH, Minn.- CHUM food bank in Downtown Duluth is making a new addition to its battle against hunger in the city.

Starting tomorrow, they will be distributing produce as part of their new “Fresh Fridays” food box giveaway.

They were struggling to find fresh food items for the community, but they could offer lettuce, milk, potatoes, and more with a recent large donation.

“Even when there is nothing growing in the Northland, the idea is to make people healthier—give people a healthier alternative and a choice to better their lives and better the community,” said Director of Distributive Services Scott Van Daele.

CHUM will have the fresh food boxes ready for people to take home on Fridays from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
