Jungle Gym’s Huffman, Walters Highlight Boxing Card at Grand Casino

DULUTH, Minn. – Jungle Gym Boxing will have two fighters taking part in the big card Friday night at the Grand Casino in Hinckley.
For Danny Huffman, he’ll take on Nicholas Compton from Minneapolis, who handed Huffman the only loss of his career back in January of 2020.
“Over a year and a half ago now. I’m just thankful for the opportunity to avenge that loss. Underestimated him the first time around. He’s a tough, tough fighter. But I do think things go a lot different this go-around,” Huffman said.
Jesse Walters will also be in action against Tyrome Jones of South Bend, Indiana. The Duluth native has spent most of the pandemic fighting outside of the state. But this will be his first six-round fight and his first bout at the Grand Casino.
“Me and Zach [Walters] especially have been working on just perfecting my craft, making sure everything is on point and just staying busy in the gym and just not slacking off or anything. I really just focus on making sure that I can get to my best ability,” said Walters.
The action starts at 7 p.m. Tickets are only available for purchase online on the Grand Casino’s website.
