University of Wisconsin Superior Hits New Enrollment Record

SUPERIOR, Wis.-The University of Wisconsin Superior saw a record number of students enroll for this spring semester.

According to University officials, after an sharp increase in total enrollment last fall the positive trend is continued in the spring semester, with an 8% increase year-over-year, marking a five-year high in undergraduate, new and transfer students, as well as graduate students.

The college has also seen more graduate and international students, with over forty countries represented. 70 more international students enrolled, exceeding the 10-year-average of 17 new international students for spring semester.

Officials believe this growing number is due to the campus’s focus on a personalized style of education.

“We’ve seen regional and national trends going the other way, so it’s really exciting news for us to be up. So it’s huge for our campus. It shows that our students, our faculty, our staff here are willing to get through whatever we need to get through to provide that kind of experience for our students,” Assistant Director of Admissions, Ben Moondy says.

UWS is still accepting applications for fall semester up until August. Applications are free and available online.
