NCHC Grind Continues This Weekend for UMD Men’s Hockey Team

The Bulldogs return home Friday night for a series against rivals North Dakota.

DULUTH, Minn. – After an emotional series split in Denver, the UMD men’s hockey team returns home Friday night for a series against rivals North Dakota.

These two teams met up three months ago in Grand Forks as the Bulldogs split the series with the Fighting Hawks.

“Personally, probably one of my favorite weekends of the year is North Dakota at home. Obviously, end of the year, coming down to crunch time. It’s going to be kind of a playoff series. It’ll be a good test for us, but I like the way we’ve been playing lately,” said forward Kobe Roth.

“It’s going to a typical North Dakota-UMD series. Who knows? You can get a lot of goals. You can get a few goals. You look at where they are in the league. You look at where we are in the league. Not a lot of games left so it’s going to be a little bit of playoff hockey,” head coach Scott Sandelin said.

Puck drop Friday night is set for 8 p.m.
