Hermantown Native Wyatt Aamodt Signs Pro Deal with Colorado Avalanche

The 24-year-old captained Minnesota State Mankato to the national championship game for the first time in program history.

DENVER, Colo. – This week, Hermantown native Wyatt Aamodt signed a one-year deal with the Colorado Avalanche.

The Minnesota State Mankato defenseman will immediately join the Colorado Eagles of the AHL on an amateur tryout contract.

The 24-year-old captained the Mavericks to the national championship game for the first time in program history. Aamodt also played over 100 games in the USHL for the chicago steel and the Lincoln Stars.
