Barry Family Vigil Being Held Sunday

DULUTH, Minn. — Family and friends of the Barry family will remember their loved ones with a vigil this weekend.

This vigil is being held Sunday at 8 o’clock for anyone who wants to come together to remember and mourn the Barry’s, and their family dog.

The family of 4 loved Christmas, and Christmas lights so much, the home will be decorated by the family to help fill the neighborhood with light again.

They ask people to come and share stories of the family as an opportunity for the community to heal.

“So this is a really great way for the public to give back, I think a lot of people are having a really hard time, and it’s a good way for all us to come together and recognize something they really loved in an effort to be able to reach additional people across the city,” Kate van Daele, Duluth Public Information Officer said.

Since the Barry’s also loved reading they had a “Little Free Library” on their front yard.

Their family members are asking people to bring children’s books in honor of the two little girls and those will be distributed to youth around the city.
