Wind Topples Light Pole On Bong Bridge

DULUTH, Minn. – Strong winds toppled a light pole onto lanes of the Bong Bridge Wednesday.

It happened during the afternoon as a winter storm was rolling through the Twin Ports.

Luckily, the pole didn’t crash down on any vehicles.

Traffic heading to Superior was blocked off by the pole until crews arrived to get it out of the way.

Nobody was injured.
