Boys Volleyball Approved as Sanctioned Sport by MSHSL
The league is still deciding if play will begin in the fall or spring of 2024-2025.
MINNEAPOLIS, Minn.- A big day for local boys volleyball teams as the Minnesota State High School League representative assembly approved boys volleyball as a sanctioned sport.
32 votes were needed for approval and it received 39.
The sport had been previously voted down three times, most recently in 2022.
Minnesota now becomes the 25th state association to sanction the sport.
Within the last four years, Floodwood, Cloquet, Hibbing/Chisholm, Grand Rapids and Proctor-Hermantown fielded boys teams.
