If you plan on making the trip to the Apostles Islands it’s advised that you dress for the journey.
Right now there’s a lot of shiny and slippery ice in the caves.
To stay warm and safe owners of Northwest Outlet in Superior recommend putting on extra layers and a ski mask, picking up hand warmers, wearing ice cleats and having a trekking pole for extra stability.
“It’s getting slippery out there and the last thing you want to do is fall and ruin your trip,” Northwest Outlet Owner Dave Miller said. “Plus there’s a number of uneven surfaces that are going to occur out there too.”
Right now a lot of winter clothing stores have big sales so it might be a good time to buy.
