Tuesday evening, the Duluth City Council updated Midway Township on the annexation agreement that happened back in November.
That’s when Duluth took over some land of the Township.
The council addressed where the new city boundaries are, as well as future plans for the newly acquired land.
“Along Becks Road, we’ve got three properties, three businesses operating there,” said Keith Hamre, Director of Planning and Construction Services for the City of Duluth. “They are there by a special permit that was issued by Midway that we’ll be looking at over the next couple of months, as to incorporating into the city of Duluth’s permit process.”
Right now, the city expects most of the land to become park space.
