Crunch Time For Super Bowl Gatherings

The countdown is on to Super Bowl 49 and local restaurants and liquor stores have been planning to score a touchdown with their customers for the game.

It’s now crunch time to get ready for all the Super Bowl parties here in the Northland.

Bulldog Pizza, in Duluth, expects the 12th man to be out in full force come Sunday. 

They have prepped by ordering extra wings and cheese for pizzas.

With all the fatty food and the increased excitement of the game, they are hoping business will pick up. 

“Deliveries tend to be the main early on in the game like first, second quarter and halftime are a lot of deliveries and then it quiets down after people get to their party or whatever,” said owner of Bulldog Pizza, Ken Wright.

There’s no denying the popularity of the Super Bowl, also means the booze will be flowing. 

The Key Port, in Superior, has stocked up on craft beer and expects most of their customers to roll in the day of.

“Days leading up to it are fair but there are definitely a lot of people showing up the day of.  It’s just one of those holidays,” said Key Port Manager, Nick Casper.

Restaurants within the Northland are expecting a surge of customers for the big day. 

So, go out and enjoy the biggest game of the year!
