About 20 volunteers took part in the Lake Superior Maritime Visitor Center’s annual Spring Cleaning Day.
They polished brass, dusted and washed windows and made sure equipment was working before the museum gets packed with visitors.
“It’s going well,” Lake Superior Maritime Visitor Center Park Ranger Beth Duncan said. “The brass sparkles down in the engine room, it’s really pretty when it’s all shined up. You know get rid of all the little dust bunnies you know over the winter.”
The visitor center will be open every day starting Friday.
