Redevelopment Grant to Help London Road Project
$250,000 Grant Awarded to City of Duluth
The City of Duluth has won a grant to help redevelop the vacant 2.7- acre site at 21st Avenue East and London Road.
The $250,000 will aid in demolishing the existing structures on the property and help install infrastructure on the new 6 floor, 148 unit apartment building.
The grant was given by the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development.
The entire project is expected to cost $36 million and will include 13,000 square feet or retail space in addition to the apartment units.
Construction is likely to start in May.
