Celtic Music Performance

The Northern Gail, a Celtic music group put on a dynamic performance inside the Duluth Public Library.

The trio presented authentic repertoire of traditional and modern Celtic music through voice, bag pipe, flutes and some step dancing.

Event organizers say the tunes pay homage to Duluth’s strong Irish heritage.

“They’re a very good group,” said Renee Zurn with the Duluth Public Library. “The music is just wonderful even for those who don’t have a Celtic background. Plus they’re a Minnesota group and the legacy fund is really to highlight Minnesota authors and artists that we might not be able to afford as a public library.”

The event was free and open to the public.
