Construction crews are working hard to finish the surgical expansion at St. Luke’s but some things have hindered the completion.
Crews are busy working on putting up dry wall, completing the sky walk and finishing the operating rooms.
President of St. Luke’s, John Strange, says the most tedious job is the computer wiring.
“That wiring process takes a lot longer because they are integrating the monitors and panels. Plus, all of the equipment ties into the electronic medical records. There’s a lot of cross wiring to monitor,” Strange expressed.
Construction is projected to be finished in August and the first patient should walk in, in September.
