Construction Begins on Luxury Apartment Complex

BlueStone Flats Will Have 142 High End Units

Summit Management, the owner and developer of over 700 units of market, student, and mixed-use housing in Duluth at the BlueStone, Summit Ridge, Boulder Ridge, and Campus Park developments in Duluth, announced today the start of construction of BlueStone Flats, a 142 unit high end luxury apartment community in their BlueStone Commons residential and commercial development near the UMD campus.

Mark Lambert, principal of Summit Management said Doran Construction, the Bloomington, Minnesota based general contracting company who has built other Duluth projects for Summit, will also build BlueStone Flats.

Lambert said the company will market the property to a diverse group of residents from “empty nest” couples to recent graduates and young professionals looking to move up the career ladder.

“We believe residents will appreciate the layouts and amenities BlueStone Flats has to offer, in addition to the fact that we will be pet friendly.”

Lambert said the building will offer studio, one, and two bedroom floor plans that include balconies and feature expansive six foot windows, granite counter tops, custom wood cabinets, stainless steel appliances, plank flooring, pendant lighting and “bountiful amenities unmatched in this market.”

Among the amenities are an indoor year-round swimming pool, whirlpool, sauna and a state-of-the-art fitness center that will provide separate area for yoga and other activities.

BlueStone Flats residents will also enjoy a finely appointed club room, patio space and an outdoor lawn terrace for entertaining and events.

An official groundbreaking ceremony for BlueStone Flats will take place sometime in May.
