Victim Was 87 Years Old

Wednesday’s accident on Highways 2 and 64 in Grand Rapids has turned fatal, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.

Authorities say an 87-year-old woman from Grand Rapids is the victim.
Her name was not released Friday.

The female victim and her driver, Charles Rodinsky, 81, were struck head on by a vehicle driven by Cory Kovatovich, 19, according to the police report.

Authorities say Kovatovich failed to stop at a stop sign.
Everyone else in the vehicles suffered non-life threatening injuries.
