Being the land of 10,000 lakes, having mosquitoes and ticks in our background is inevitable.
The squad encourages anyone who spends time outdoors to check themselves for ticks thoroughly as the pests are very small.
Although the obnoxious mosquitoes are what the public is most concerned about, tick diseases are much more obnoxious.
“Their not at ground level and they don’t fly like a mosquito does. So, a lot of people don’t think they need to have the coverage for the tick. But, the tick has Lyme disease and that’s what your pet will carry into the house with them because it needs to latch onto something that requires a host,” said Mosquito Squad’s Office Manager, Tiffany Mallory.
Tick season is expected to be in full force at the beginning of May.
