Classes Help Locals Spend Smart
A campaign kicked off this week to help people better manage their personal finances.
The Duluth Public Library along with libraries across the nation are offering money management classes as part of Money Smart Week.
Community Action Duluth is teaching the classes.
Topics include how to boost your bank account and credit score along with identify theft protection.
“I think it’s very important to kind of educate people about these kind of issues,” Duluth Public Library Librarian Richmond Kinney said. “I think it’s good to do it at the library because it’s kind of a known safe place. People like to come here and never feel judged.”
How to reduce your debt and increase health insurance are being taught this Thursday and Friday at noon.
