Friday, young performers let their inner stars shine bright in Duluth.
Neighborhood Youth Services hosted a talent show, where kids could sing, dance, and show off their artwork.
The admission ticket was a non–perishable food item, to be donated to the CHUM food shelf, which event organizers say was the kids’ idea.
“They, or some of the people that they know, have maybe used a food shelf at one time in their lives, and so they saw kind of a natural connection to showcase their talents while helping the food shelf,” said Jessica Schiff, Director of Community Services at Woodland Hills.
Friday’s event was part of the Americorps’ Global Youth Service Day national project.
