Race car fans are going to get a much brighter experience at Superior Amsoil Speedway later this month.
A $60,000 project will replace outdated, unreliable lights on the four corners of the racetrack, including new light poles.
Speedway officials say the lighting has not been touched in more than 50 years and would even sometimes go dark during races.
The opener is May 15, and the lights will be fully updated by May 31.
