A cell phone company is in talks with the City of Duluth about installing an antenna at either Wade Stadium or the Wheeler Athletic Complex.
The city said the company had looked at other non-park facilities, but none of them met their needs.
“If the city negotiates the agreement to completion, the next step would be for that to go to the city council,” said Jim Filby-Williams, director of public administration for the City of Duluth.
The city cannot release the name of the cell company because negotiations are still underway.
