Superior Seeks Clean Up Volunteers
Sorry, this video is no longer available
Superior needs your help cleaning up debris left from melted snow and the rain.
The city is hosting the first Clean up Our Town event this weekend.
Volunteers will be given gloves and trash bags to pick up garbage from neighborhoods, parks and trails.
“If the city maintains a clean appearance it makes it better for everybody to enjoy,” City of Superior code enforcement officer Tammy Thibert said. “People get a better impression of your city when they come in and don’t want to see a bunch of garbage laying over it. We all live in it, work in it, why not take care of it?”
Volunteers will be given free lunch and a t–shirt.
To volunteer, head over to the Barkers Island Festival Park this Saturday from 10a.m.-noon.
