Local Fire Victims Get New Bikes

The Duluth Police Department took Aurora, Caden and their mom Jessica Peterson shopping at Walmart in Hermantown for new bikes.

The two kiddos lost their wheels when the Applewood Knoll Apartments went up in flames.

This weekend they took home a bicycle, four wheeler and helmets.

“Right now I have butterflies, just excitement,” said Peterson. “They get to finally have something of their own that they can remember that was in the house. “They’ve talked about the bike and Caden talked about his four wheeler all the time.”

Peterson also told FOX 21 they now have a place to stay but still in need of bare essentials.
