In honor of National Trails Day, the Duluth Area Horse Trail Alliance gathered at the Amity Creek Trail to enhance its beauty and usage for horseback riders.
Members of the alliance clipped back brush and cleaned it up to get ready for the season.
“More and more people like to bike, hike, ride,” Duluth Area Horse Trail Alliance vice president Anne Gullion said. “Knowing that they’re up here and the trails are expanding just brings more people in. Then they go back to wherever they’re from and just say hey come to Duluth it’s a beautiful place.”
The Duluth Area Horse Trail Alliance is currently accepting members.
They also tell FOX 21 they’re future goal is to have horse trails going from Duluth to Jay Cooke State Park.
