Grand Rapids Stabbing Suspect Pleads Guilty
A Grand Rapids man has pleaded guilty to his involvement in a stabbing.
Kalin Wenell-Jack is accused of stabbing his brother multiple times and threatening to kill him and a witness if they contacted police.
Wenell-Jack was facing eight charges including attempted murder and assault.
A proposed plea deal allowed him to plead guilty to second degree assault and would give him a 120 month sentence in prison.
The court now needs to approve the plea agreement.
A sentencing hearing is set for August 31 at 2:00 p.m.
Wenell-Jack is currently being held in the Itasca County Jail.
