Animal Allies Hosts Fundraiser

It was purr-fect Saturday to walk for animals.
Animal Allies Humane Society hosted its 23rd annual Walk for Animals.
Hundreds took part in the fundraising event with their pets.
Walkers raised money through pledges.
The funds collected support the humane society’s programs including education, adoption, spaying and neutering.
“It’s our second largest fundraiser of the year so it’s really important to the organization to help us do the work we do. Also, it’s just a great event for people to come to that is family friendly that they can do with their pets as well,” said Animal Allies Program Manager Betsy Bode.
The walk wasn’t limited to dogs and cats a goose and some tortoises were also on hand.
