It’s a win for Duluth homeowners in a historic part of the east end of town.
City councilors Monday unanimously voted down a short-term vacation rental proposal at 2525 East First Street by property owner Dan Neby.
Homeowners and councilors agree a short-term rental home goes against preserving the neighborhood and is not a bed and breakfast because the building owner would not be living in the house.
Many neighbors to the property urged councilors to vote against this permit because they said they were worried it would be a constant vacation of partygoers and strangers.
