Bike Shop Opens in Duluth

A community bicycle shop has opened up its doors again in Duluth.
The Bike Cave at 1712 Jefferson Street has more than 100 bikes up for adoption.
Volunteer mechanics there will help you fix up a bike for free and in return you have to help out the next person repair a bike they’re going to take home.
“So what we like to say is whatever you take out of the Bike Cave is what we want you to put back in,” Bike Cave mechanic Kelly Wallin said. “So there’s a little bit of sweat equity involved. That way people will actually feel like they’ve earned their bike and they appreciate them a lot more.”
The Bike Cave is part of the Loaves and Fishes community and is open to anyone every Wednesday and Saturday from 1 p.m.-5 p.m.
