Jay Cooke State Park is celebrating a milestone this weekend and you’re invited.

The park is kicking off its 100th anniversary with an open house.

It’s free and open to the public.

You also do not need a vehicle permit!

Festivities will include river adventures, a puppet show and cake.

“It’s a very exciting time,” Jay Cooke State Park naturalist Kristine Hiller said. “It’s a huge milestone obviously and it’s also a great opportunity to be showing people why the park is here in the first place. There are so many fantastic things about Jay Cooke.”

The celebration will run this Saturday from 11 a.m.-3 p.m.
