Old Carlson Bookstore Getting Facelift

Development Plans Still Uncertain

There are visible signs of renovation progress happening at the old Carlson Bookstore across from the NorShor Theatre. 

Building owner Rod Raymond said Wednesday crews are working on the facade and updating the mechanics inside. 

As for what’s in store for the building, Raymond said it’s still up in the air. 

But, whatever it becomes, he says he wants it to enhance the arts scene and be attractive to visitors of the NorShor Theatre.
