The St. Louis River Corridor vision is finally being put into action.

Nearly 30 of the projects have received approval to move forward and further develop the Duluth Parks and Rec Commission’s concepts.

Project coordinators are heavily focusing on funding, but are already looking into getting other projects approved.

“We’re looking at neighborhood parks along with some neighbor and tourism destinations such as Nordic Center and Tallas Island,” said Duluth Parks Commission project coordinator, Lisa Luokkala.

The bulk of construction will happen in the next two to three years.
