Proctor’s Police Department has learned sometimes you have to expect the unexpected.

On Thursday, officers responded to a baby fawn in the middle of 9th Street in Proctor.

They picked it up and carried it back to its mother.

Two days before that, they rescued the same fawn.

“We got a lot of calls in reference to animals.  I mean, we do live in a heavily wooded area that has a lot of wildlife.  So, my best advice for anyone is to leave the animal alone,” said Chief Walter Wobig with the Proctor Police Department.

Officers named the new born fawn ‘Spot.’
