“Keep your eyes and your mind open,” said Ann Mckasy of Mahtomedi, Minnesota.

“I came with an empty jeep and I’m going home with a packed jeep,” said Angela Hadrits of Stillwater, Minnesota.

McKasy and Hadrits made the trek from southern Minnesota for the 35th annual Park Point Rummage Sale.

“It’s awesome, it is awesome,” said Hadrits. “I got a great midcentury wall hanging.”

“She was a big couture designer so I’m very excited about this,” said Mckasy. “If this is the only thing I find today I will go home happy.”

Cody Waters came from Cloverland, Wisconsin for the hunt.

“I start on one end and I just basically go around and come back to where I started,” said Waters.

They’re not just scanning and tinkering, these bargain hunters have an idea of what they want.

“I like vintage jewelry, vintage clothing,” said Mckasy.

“I’m just trying to find something that will probably either be decorative for the house or something I can use daily,” said Waters.

It’s four miles of reduced priced and quirky finds which took some of the vendors all year to accumulate.

“Actually it’s coming out of hoarder addiction my friends joke about that,” vendor Scott Miller said.

“But actually most the stuff I buy is from estates or I go to auctions.”

This year fishing and vintage fixtures are the trend.

“Everything you see even in home furnishings is going back to retro,” said Miller.

If you see something you like, vendors advise not being afraid to ask for a discount.

“The price, it’s always negotiable,” said Miller. “Our motto is go ahead and insult us on the price you know we love it.”

“Come early, bring a hat, pack a sandwich and have fun,” said Hadrits.

The rummage sale will kick off again Saturday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Vendors tell FOX 21 they’re marking everything low so it can go.
