The country band Parmalee, with the number one hit ‘Carolina,’ hit the stage Friday night at Black Bear, taking a break from their performances at the CMA Music Festival in Nashville.

The family–band had their song ‘Close Your Eyes’ hit top three in 2014, and their new single ‘Already Calling You Mine’ almost hit top 30 this week.

All four band members agreed that their favorite part of performing is seeing the crowd enjoy the show.

“That’s probably one of the best feelings you can get as a band, to see the fans sing back the words that you wrote,” said Barry Knox, Parmalee’s Bass Player. “It’s a feeling like no other feeling that we’ve ever had,” he added.

Brothers Matt and Scott Thomas say their father was their musical idol, and decided to name their band after their hometown, Parmele, North Carolina.
