A unique event was held Saturday involving food coloring and cornstarch.
The Northland Campus of Minnesota Adult and Teen Challenge held their second annual Color4Hope 5K Run and Walk event.
About 150 people ran or walked a two loop course around Lake Superior College and then got doused with color.
Funds from the race will go towards The Northland Campus of Minnesota Adult and Teen Challenge so they can continue to help people struggling with drug and alcohol addiction.
“This event is very important,” Northland Campus of Minnesota Adult and Teen director Keith Johnson said. “We can’t do it without the support of friends and donors from our community. Through fundraisers like this and other events that we have help bring awareness as well as bring needed funds to our campus.”
The organization is planning to host the run again next year.
