Man Dies After Striking Horse in Carlton Co.
Cromwell Man Killed After Hitting Horse in the Road
One man has died after a crash involving two vehicles and a horse in Carlton County on Sunday.
The crash happened on Highway 210 and Spirit Lake Road around 10:20 p.m.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, a car was heading west on Highway 210 at Spirit Lake Road when it hit a horse in the roadway.
It resulted in the driver, 49-year-old Richard Godbout of Cromwell, MN being killed.
His passenger, a 49-year-old Liberty, Texas man, was uninjured.
After the car struck the horse, a second vehicle, also heading west, then hit the horse.
The two people in that vehicle, a 31-year-old man and a 34-year-old woman from Wright, MN were uninjured.
