Scottish Rite Clinic Set For Expansion

Hoping to Double Number of Clients

A clinic for kids with language problems is expanding, to double the number of children they can serve per year.

The Scottish Rite Clinic on West 2nd Street in Duluth has helped more than 2,000 children with speech problems since 1990.

But they can usually only serve about 100 children each year.

Members of the board, as well as Mayor Don Ness helped to break ground on an expansion that would double that number when the expansion is complete in 2016.

There has always been a waiting list, and those with the clinic say they hope they can solve a bit of that problem with this new expansion.

The services from the Scottish Rite Clinic are made possible through private donations and grants.
