I-Falls Man Arrested In Bar Stabbing

An International Falls man is accused of spitting blood at a police officer after stabbing a man.

It happened at the Viking Bar last Wednesday night in I-Falls.

Matthew Insensee, 26, is facing five felony charges for the crime, including first-degree assault, according to the District Attorney’s Office.

Authorities say the 31-year-old victim from Ontario was stabbed twice in the arm during a fight.

Isensee is behind bars in the Koochiching County Jail without bail.
