More than 20 kids were inspired to get creative and expressive through the Fine Arts Academy Art Camp at UMD.
The camp ran every Friday for 4 weeks and this Friday was the final showcase and celebration.
The kid’s work was inspired by the Tweed Museum of Art on campus.
Organizers say it was amazing to see what kids design when their imaginations soar!
“It’s tactile, the stimulation, and they get to express themselves through it and we don’t always have an opportunity to learn in experiential ways,” said Kathy Neff, Director of the UMD Fine Arts Academy.
Kids participating in the Art Camp ranged from grades K-5.
This is the first Art Camp hosted by the Fine Arts Academy at UMD.
