Golf balls flooded the course at Duluth’s Northland Country Club.

A front loader dropped 1,000 of them onto the green Thursday.

The drop was all part of the 2nd Annual Kolar-Link-Setiz Golf Balls From Heaven event raising money for Women’s Care Center Duluth.

“Our main mission is to just help any mom, father or child in need. We are just there to support them in a non-judgmental way and in a loving way in any crisis that they have, and if they just need a little extra support we are there for them,” said Megan Schuelke, a counselor at Women’s Care Center Duluth.

The person with the closest ball to the pin won $1,000.

Women’s Care Center Duluth is a non-profit pregnancy resource center providing 100 percent free, confidential counseling, ultrasounds, support, and education to women facing unplanned pregnancies.
