Man Wanted for Homicide of 7-Year-Old in Chicago Caught in Superior
Man Wanted in Connection to Chicago Drive-By Shooting Arrested in Superior
Officers from the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office and the Superior Police Department arrested a man Wednesday afternoon on a homicide warrant out of the state of Illinois.
Twenty year old Rasheed Martin was taken into custody without incident at a residence in the Bartley Manor Complex at 3900 Tower Ave.
Martin was wanted in connection with the July 4, 2015 homicide of 7 year old Amari Brown in Chicago in a drive-by shooting believed to be gang related.
Martin is being held in the Douglas County Jail pending extradition to Illinois.
The U.S. Marshals Service also assisted with this arrest.
