Superior Police Make Arrest Following Mattress Fire

One person is in custody after a fire at an apartment building.

The Superior Fire Department responded to the call at 9:07 a.m. Monday at 1514 Ogden Avenue.

There was smoking coming out of the doorways and a side window when crews arrived on scene.

It was reported that a mattress had been deliberately set on fire forcing residents to evacuate, according to officials.

The fire only damaged the mattress and box spring.

No one was injured.
