This weekend about 400 water–sport lovers are expected to be out on The Big Lake celebrating the 18th Annual Two Harbors Kayak Festival.
The two–day event will feature clinics for people who want to learn more about the sport, as well as family tours, equipment demos, and both kayak and stand–up paddle board races.
“The most popular race is our Betty’s Pies Race,” said Scott Neustel, Director of the Two Harbors Kayak Festival. “They race up to Betty’s Pies and then they return and when they finish they get a slice of Betty’s Pie.”
The event runs 9 AM to 5 PM both Saturday and Sunday at the shores of Burlington Bay.
Admission is $10.
